AUSTRALIA is investigating the death of a man during a shooting at a Sydney shopping centre.

A man was shot at a movie theatre in Brunswick on Sunday night and died at a nearby hospital, police say.
Police were called to the Cinema at Fairmont in Brunswick around 10:00pm local time (11:00am AEST) after reports of a shooting.
“The shooting occurred at a shopping centre in Brunswick, Victoria, about 10km (6 miles) east of Melbourne,” a statement from the Brunswick Police Service said.
“Police were first called to Brunswick Town Centre at 11:03pm on Sunday after reports that a man had been shot and taken to the Brunswick Hospital.”
A 28 year old man was arrested on Monday and charged in relation with the shooting, the statement said.
Police said the man was in custody and has been released on a promise to appear in Brunswick Local Court on February 19.
Police are also investigating whether the man shot was armed with a firearm.
The man was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police spokesman Andrew Stewart said.
The Brunswick Local Area Command said there was no other immediate threat to the public.
A spokeswoman for the National Crime Agency (NCA) said police were aware of the incident and investigating the shooting.
